Have you ever found yourself wondering what to feed your child on a day to day basis? Did you ask them what do you want to eat for lunch and they shrug their shoulders and  say "I don't know."? Do you find yourself making something and they just won't eat it? Do you see your child has only a favorite meal and won't eat anything else? No matter if you have a child that likes everything or a child that is a picky eater.  Does your child have food allergies? You are not alone.

Join the million of families that has at least one child that has food allergies or are just picky eaters .

If you are like me always trying to find the right foods and something that will make your kid go Yum. 

Make sending your kiddo off to school for the first time much easier with easy school lunch ideas for kindergarten through high school (year after year!)

Whether your child will have milk, water, or juice with their lunch when deciding what drink to send them with—and keep in mind that milk is food and a source of dairy when packing a lunch and most schools also have them available in the cafeteria.


I have a son that is a senior in High School and 4 grandkids. With two of them living in Wisconsin. Their schools are in Fulltime Mode and my grandkids pack their own lunches. And yes they are all picky eaters. My son well he is another story he is mostly a picky eater, but lately he has been more open to trying new foods.  Here’s the thing — kids are fickle.  One day, they love a certain snack and the next day they despise it, for some odd reason.

Here are some School lunch ideas to help you out!

  1. DIY  Lunchables with meat or no meat, cheese, crackers, and fruit in a lunchbox  (pictured above)
  2. Kids with and without  food allergies can eat this  -  Tuna salad  made with  Tuna,  Veganase (Soy free mayonnaise), and put a  side of fruit with it and juice.  Click here for Full Tuna salad Recipe.
  3.   Kids with and without food allergies can eat this     -    Sunbutter and jam sandwich, applesauce pouch, cheese stick
  4. Turkey and cheese sandwich, snap pea crisps, raspberries
  5. Ham and cheese sandwich, snap peas, clementine
  6. Cheese sandwich, fruit, veggie of choice
  7. Hummus sandwich, banana, cookie
  8. Cream cheese and jam sandwich, apple slices, roasted chickpeas
  9. Pita pocket sandwich with hummus and cucumbers, veggie medley (in a thermos), fruit cup
  10. Pita pocket wedges with hummus or ranch, diced chicken, baked chips, and strawberries
  11. Crackers, cheese, fruit, and veggies (carrots, cucumber, snap peas)
  12. Crackers, hummus, fruit, and veggies (carrots, celery, mini cucumbers)

  14. Pesto pasta with fruit
  15. Bean and cheese burrito with fruit and dessert 
  16. Summer Berry Cream Muffins with cheese and fruit
  17. Raspberry Streusel Muffins with yogurt pouch and cucumber

Schools and Places in Lake County that is doing Free Lunch pick up on certain days for kids  1 years old  through High School: No Id needed. Just tell them how many kids you need it for.  They do social distance. Please always wear a mask when going to the bus or building.
